I hate having to go back to my PC for Soundforge's ease of use. VLC (initially VideoLAN Client) is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, avi) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various. I don't know why Sony doesn't port Soundforge to the Mac. If anyone knows what I'm speaking about, then you know that you may spend a lot of unnecessary time trying to highlight a section.Īlso, unlike Sounforge (once again), Peak doesn't give you any alternate algorithms to choose from during timestretching. Whereas in Soundforge you can grab the right portion of the highlighted section and just drag it further right, in Peak, you have to hold down shift and click at the spot where you want the highlight to end.
